Last weekend saw the 7th annual Beckenham Vintage Train Show; run by the Beckenham and West Wickham Model Railway Club (and in particular Tony Penn). Another great day was had by all, with ten very different layouts plus traders.

While the venue was the same as before, internal arrangements were not, as two of the three usual halls were undergoing building works. So the layouts were in the church itself and included

  • ‘Viaduct’ 0 Gauge layout by Paul Gumbrell
  • ‘Bowlers Croft’ - a large Hornby Dublo (and Wrenn) two rail layout by the Chiltern Hills Group of the HRCA
  • ‘Notso’ – a Hornby Dublo three rail Layout by Kip Bennett
  • 0 Gauge Bing layout by Mark Carne
  • Triang loose lay layout by Dave White
  • Trix Express layout by Chris March
  • ‘Elevated Trains’ (lower cost O gauge) by Bryan Pentland
  • Marklin H0 layout from the Vyse family
  • American Flyer S gauge layout by Neil Trump
  • Battery powered trains by Andy Hyelmann
