SUMMARY:La Hotte St Nicolas
DESCRIPTION:It seemed appropriate to show a train set in 0 gauge from a manufacturer with a very seasonal name ( the toy sack of Santa Clause or St Nicolas as he is better known in France) they produced a couple of clockwork short 4 wheel diesel locos one in a set with tipper wagons and a most unusual set consisting of a diesel loco with a long double decker car carrier wagon and a long crane wagon. They were well made with good clockwork mechs and because of their width resemble more gauge 1 for narrow gauge track. There is some difference of opinion as to their history however one renowned book states that these were made by the Pintel Brothers for the Train Factory and were only in production for a short time in the 60's.  The picture shows the car carrier mounted with ETS VW beetles made to run on 0 gauge track. \nLa Hotte 0 gauge set

SUMMARY:Steam Toys in Action at the Abbey Pumping Station Museum
DESCRIPTION:This is the event for those with a passion for real steam\, but in a small scale.  100's of steam toys from a multitude of manufacturers and from all ages will be on show\, with many running during the day. \nFor the student of model railways\, there will be three layouts running Mamod\, Bowman and very old Gauge 1\, the latter including dribblers and similar early 20th century locomotives while the Bowman layout will also be running Bassett-Lowke\, Bing\, Märklin and other O gauge live steamers including a 1890’s Schoenner.  This is probably the only place where these can be seen in full operation working as they were intended. Also planned to attend is a steam slot 'car' track. \nRegular visitors will be pleased to know that the layouts will this year be at ground level\, and there will be no need to clamber up to the beam floor. \nThe site narrow gauge passenger railway will be in operation\, and refreshments will be available from the LMTA cafe and freshly cooked chips from the coal fired range of the 1937 Bedford chip-van. \nNo concessions but accompanied children are free.

DESCRIPTION:The 2017 Spring show and AGM will this year be held in Leicester at the Trinity Centre\, home of our very popular Autumn show (which will be taking place this year on November 5th). More details of displays are below but please contact Bryan for further information if you need to\,  contact details below. \n \nThe show opens at 10:30.  There will be a variety of vintage toy train layouts and displays covering a dozen different manufacturers over 70 years including: \n·         Tri-ang 00 Gauge  \n·         American Flyer 0 Gauge Tinplate layout \n·         Eggerbahn Layout 00  \n·         Large Tinplate 0 Gauge Layout with Hornby \, Bassette Lowke etc \n·         Hornby Dublo \n·         Lone Star push along \n·         Dublo James Bond themed layout \n·         A large club display of GWR train items \n·         A large display of books and trains from GWR \n·         A large vintage 0-gauge layout from a mix of manufacturers will be on the stage \nThere will in addition be 20 traders and the TCS Bring and Buy stall will be busy as usual.   \nHot food and free parking available.   \nThe AGM itself starts at 14:00 for one hour and will be held in the adjoining church. SUMMARY:Alresford Festival of Toy Trains
DESCRIPTION:The show is the largest of its kind in southern England and aims to raise money for groups in and around Alresford. In 2011\, over £2000 was raised for the School\, Scouts and Save the Children and other smaller charities. \nThere will be many superb working Vintage Toy Train layouts on show\, of all makes and sizes\, making this a treat for visitors both young and old.

SUMMARY:2017 TCS Public Summer Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The 2017 TCS Summer Show will be held at a new and much larger venue\, Stantonbury Arts & Leisure Centre in Milton Keynes on Saturday 15 July 2017. This is a large light hall in a modern building just a short drive from the M1. \nWe will be using the venue’s large main sports hall allowing for more displays and traders and nice wide aisles. These premises will be far better for the show than last year's venue at Biggleswade which was very cramped and exhibits had to be spread over a number of smallish rooms. We have a total of 23 exhibits (see below) and 22 traders on 49 tables (we are now fully booked for space).
