TCS member Karl Isele has just supplied us with some rather wonderful photographs of trains running at the Scheyern Abbey in Bavaria.
Karl writes “There are always beautiful scenes on the big tinplate layout at the Scheyern monastery. You have to be there; photos cannot show all. But for those who have not visited here are some (placed on a separate page Tinplate Trains at the Scheyern Abbey 2016, just click the link to view).
The large layout is in gauge 1, the overhead railway and the rack railway are in gauge 0, and there are also 2 small Billerbahn layouts, one at the "Nussbaggerei" (nut digger) and one at the little Oktoberfest. There is also a small airport. New this year was a ferry that could be loaded correctly with trains on 3 tracks.”
Many thanks to Karl for sending us these photos and the information about this event.
Looks like it was a honey of a show!
