However for January with have chosen a scene which has a particularly gripping winter feel

Weimar-Bhf-Neustad Dirk Hertel TCS photo comp 2018

This is from Dirk Hertel who has informed us that his photo shows a"Weimar express, headed by the Borsig streamlined locomotive, enters Neustadt station.
In 1956 the VEB Metallwaren and Galvanik Weimar (East Germany) introduced their version of the famous streamlined Borsig locomotive, using Bakelite to make the streamline shell. The matching streamlined tender never went into production but when we located the original engineering drawings we decided to 3D-print it. The photo shows the streamlined express pulling into the busy station of Neustadt. The period wooden station building, figures and platform accessories were all made in the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains) in Saxony." Thanks Dirk
