The TCS was kindly invited to the Bassett-Lowke Society’s recent 25th Anniversary Exhibition
Rod Hannah looked after the TCS display and has provided this short report and the accompanying photos
Rod writes "This was held on the weekend of 13/14 May at the STEAM Museum in Swindon. This is a very pleasant venue and entry to the exhibition was included with that to the Museum itself. The TCS publicity stand featured some Bassett-Lowke literature and also an appropriate item of Trix rolling stock. There were large layouts in both gauges 0 and 1, including an attractive 0 gauge live steam one. Impressive displays of B.-L. locomotives and other rolling stock were there to be admired along with suitable books and also information on W. J. Bassett-Lowke’s famous house in Northampton. Traders were present to tempt one into various attractive purchases. All in all, an excellent exhibition with the added bonus of access to the Museum with its very good range of Great Western Railway locomotives, wagons and interpretive exhibits etc."
